Although there is no way to tell what journalism will look like in 10 years, we can predict the ways journalists might have to reinvent themselves based on advancements in technology and new storytelling methods.
The podcast focuses on three main ways in which journalism may shift in the near future, with the first being a growing independence among journalists.
With an increasing popularity in podcasts, YouTube videos and blogs, journalists are able to detach themselves from media companies to create their own content in their own personal style.

The second way journalists may reinvent themselves is through more multimedia content. When we think of traditional journalism, we think of newspapers and lengthy texts with little to no images. With pictures and videos now available at our fingertips, we believe this traditional method will eventually switch to almost all multimedia content.
The final way journalists might have to reinvent themselves is through a shift from a traditional newsroom to a more mobile method. With mobile journalism already on the rise, we predict that the quality content smartphones provide will only get better going forward.
As our society shifts to be more creative and technology focused, we think journalists will take no hesitations when it comes to reporting the news and telling stories in a new, reinvented way.
